Ingredients for caramel pudding with chocolate and cream:
For caramel pudding
– 400ml milk
– 5 tablespoons of sugar
– 1 egg
– 25gr flour
– a pinch of salt
For the chocolate layer
– 100gr chocolate
– 70ml milk
– 40gr butter
For the cream layer
– 150gr whipping cream (sweetened)
How to make caramel pudding with chocolate and cream
How to prepare the caramel pudding
Set aside 5-6 tablespoons of cold milk. Warm the rest of it until hot. Set aside.
Use a pan to heat the sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly. Cook until sugar completely melts.
Remove from heat and pour the hot milk, carefully, because it makes bubbles.
Bring back to a boil and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside.
Place the egg and a pinch of salt into a bowl and mix just a bit. Add the cold milk and mix to combine. Add the flour and mix to incorporate.Pour this mixture over the caramel.
Place over medium heat and cook, stirring continuously, until thickens. The caramel pudding is ready when it starts to makes bubbles.
Pour the caramel pudding into bowls. Set aside.
How to prepare the chocolate layer
Place in a saucepan the milk, chocolate and butter. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring often, until the chocolate completely melts.
Allow to cool (till lukewarm).
Pour the chocolate over the pudding and allow to cool completely.
Meanwhile beat the whipping cream until fluffy.
Add the cream over the chocolate layer.
Garnish with peanuts or fresh fruits.
Serve at room temperature or refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
