Easy to make, very refreshing and full of vitamins and nutrients, fruit salad is the perfect summer dessert. You can use your favorite fruits, fresh or canned. Raisins go very well in this fruit salad and I always use them. Before adding raisins to the fruit salad I soak them in warm water with rum flavor. Raisins will taste better 🙂
You can also add nuts, oats or bulgur.
I always top fruit salad with whipped cream and I sprinkle some chocolate chips and peanuts. It’s a delight!
Instead of whipped cream you can top fruit salad with vanilla pastry cream or chocolate pastry cream. You can also make a layered fruit salad with vanilla pastry cream.
You can serve the fruit salad right away or you can refrigerate it for 30 minutes – 1 hour before serving.
Ingredients for fruit salad
– 2 bananas
– 1 large apple
– 3 kiwi
– 1 orange
– 2 tangerines
– 80gr raisins
– 200ml whipping cream
– chocolate chips
How to make fruit salad
You should start by soaking the raisins. Place the raisins into a small bowl, cover with warm water and add rum flavor. Cover the bowl and let rest for 2-3 hours.
Rinse and peel the fruits. Chop the fruits into small pieces and place them into a large bowl.
Drain the raisins and place them into the bowl. Set aside.
Place the whipping cream into a large bowl. Mix until fluffy.
Place the fruit salad into serving bowls. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle some chocolate chips and peanuts.
You can serve this delicious fruit salad right away or you can refrigerate for 30 minutes – 1 hour before serving. This will allow flavors to combine.
