When my kids saw these vanilla cream puff pastry cups their reaction was: “Wow! How pretty they are! Can we eat them?” :).
Flaky, tender and so flavorful, these vanilla cream puff pastry cups are almost too cute to be eaten. But they also smell so good that you’ll pass over their cuteness and after the first bite you won’t be able to stop eating.
These vanilla cream puff pastry cups are also incredibly easy to prepare.
As I was saying in the meat stuffed puff pastry cups recipe, I prefer to use store-bought puff pastry because I save a lot of time.
Vanilla pastry cream is very easy to prepare with a handful of ingredients and I prefer to make it from scratch.
And now that we have puff pastry and vanilla pastry cream we can shape the puff pastry cups.
To do that, you should start by rolling out the dough, then cut into squares.
Then place the puff pastry squares into a muffin tin and into each cup place paper muffin cups and 1 tablespoon of rice. This will stop puff pastry puffing on the inside.
Then bake until golden brown, allow to cool, fill the pastry cups with vanilla cream and top with fresh fruits. For vitamins :).
These vanilla cream puff pastry cups are very cute and absolutely delicious and they make the perfect dessert especially for kids parties.

How to make vanilla cream puff pastry cups
You should start by preparing the vanilla pastry cream (full recipe here). Allow to cool completely.
Meanwhile thaw the puff pastry.
Roll out the puff pastry into a 30/40 cm (11.81/15.7 in) rectangle. Cut into 10/10 cm (3.93/3.93 in) squares.
Place the puff pastry squares into a muffin tin. Place 1 paper muffin cup into each puff pastry cup. Add 1 tablespoon of rice (or anything similar) into each cup. Place the muffin tin into the preheated oven and bake at 200 °C (392 °F) for about 15-18 minutes (or until golden brown).
Remove from the oven an allow to cool for a few minutes (until you can handle the pastries).
Remove the paper cups with rice and let the pastries cool on wire racks.
Use a spoon or a pastry bag to fill up the puff pastry cups.
Top with fresh fruits and dust some confectioners’ sugar.
Now you may serve these super delicious vanilla cream puff pastry cups.
