Chocolate rice pudding

Super delicious, rich and creamy, this chocolate rice pudding is amazing! Also is incredibly easy to prepare and you can satisfy your sweet tooth with a handful of ingredients and minimum effort.

Rice pudding is very popular in my country, everybody love this simple and delicious dessert. Especially kids love to have a bowl of rice pudding for breakfast or for dessert.

To prepare this delicious chocolate rice pudding you should choose the right type of rice. The best rice for making rice pudding is a starchy sticky rice like medium or short grain rice. This is the type of rice that releases starch into liquid while cooking and forms a thick and creamy sauce.

Then combine rice, sugar, a pinch of salt and milk and cook until the rice is tender. If the rice pudding is too thin, you may continue to cook for a few more minutes. If the mixture is too thick, just add a little more milk.

Then remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder, vanilla essence and chocolate.

As regarding the chocolate, I prefer dark chocolate. It’s sooo flavorful!

The chocolate rice pudding should be transferred to bowls while is still warm and fluid (it thickens while cooling). Allow to cool into bowls before serving.

You may serve this delicious chocolate rice pudding topped with fresh fruits or whipped cream.
