No yeast? No problem! Try this no yeast flatbread recipe, soft and pliable, perfect for using as a wrap or as a side. This homemade no yeast flatbread is very tasty and incredibly easy to make with only 3 ingredients: flour, vegetable oil and salt (plus water, of course, but we don’t count water as a main ingredient).
This is the best homemade bread recipe in the corona virus crisis… Some people have bought all the yeast but they could’t buy all the flour :). So, let me show you how to make bread without yeast!

To prepare this delicious no yeast bread you have to combine all the ingredients. You should obtain a smooth and elastic dough, very easy to work with.
After 30 minutes of resting time, divide the dough into 8 pieces then shape each piece of dough into a thin circle. You can use your hands or a rolling pin. Then place each flatbread into the slightly greased skillet and fry on both sides until brown spots appear.

You can use this delicious no yeast flatbread to make wraps or as a side for your favorite soup or stew. Also, this flatbread goes great for breakfast topped with your favorite spread. Yes, you have to get up from bed about 30 minutes earlier to make the dough… But it totally worth the effort!
And don’t forget: #stayhome!
You should also try:

Ingredients
– 450 gr (3 1/2 cups) flour
– 250 ml (1 cup and 2 teaspoons) water
– 30 ml (2 tablespoons) vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon salt
You also need a little more extra vegetable oil for brushing the skillet
How to make no yeast flatbread
Use a large bowl to combine water, vegetable oil and salt. Gradually stir in the flour. When the dough becomes too thick to stir, continue to knead until the whole flour is incorporated. You should obtain a smooth and elastic dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour (1-2 tablespoons).
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let rest for about 30 minutes.
Place the dough onto the slightly oiled table. Then divide the dough into 8 pieces.
With slightly oiled hands (or with a rolling pin) shape each piece of dough into a thin circle.
Brush the pan with vegetable oil. Place the pan over low-medium heat. Heat the pan.
Place 1 flatbread into the pan and fry on both sides until brown spots appear.
Repeat with the remaining flatbread.
Transfer to a platter.
Serve warm or cold with your favorite spread, as a wrap or as a side.
See? We don’t need yeast 🙂

Enjoy!

These are really good. And it’s nice to have a flatbread recipe without needing yeast. I should note that I forgot to let the dough rest for 30 minutes and they still came out delicious. I cut the dough into 8 pieces, as the recipe states, but molded two of the pieces back together to make one bigger one because I’m going to make a garlic and olive oil shrimp pizza this evening and I needed a bigger piece for that.
Thanks for sharing!
